As a Program Officer for the Social Innovation Fund in the office of the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for forging, maintaining and optimizing strategic relationships with the Social Innovation Fund’s grantee intermediaries in furthering the mission and goals of the Social Innovation Fund.

The Social Innovation Fund (SIF) is a $50 million competitive grant program at the Corporation for National and Community Service intended to improve America’s communities by increasing the flow of resources to high-impact nonprofit organizations working to address three national priorities: economic opportunity, youth development and school support, and healthy futures. The SIF pursues this purpose through a new Federal approach that:
· Rewards nonprofits pursuing innovative solutions to social problems that were developed in communities and which demonstrate compelling evidence of significant results;
· Provides strong incentives for collaboration and partnerships, including a requirement that each federal dollar be matched by three dollars from other public and private sources;
· Supplements direct grantmaking activities with other collaborative initiatives, e.g. development of knowledge and tools, that will enhance the ability of additional funders – public and private – to select and grow high-impact nonprofits addressing critical social challenges in our communities.
